CREANDOME INTERVIEW: HUMAN COMMUNICATION, HAPPINESS AND EMOTIONS

Hi Sergi,

According to a recently published study, Spain leads the consumption of Smartphone data in Europe (see news). Smartphones are those mobiles that allow a continuous connection with all Social Network or source of information. This is that we like to talk, interact and exchange content: it almost alike content sometimes, the important thing is to talk …

Why do we need to talk so much to others?

It seems that what we want, is to be in communication with others, but in reality, what happens is that we do not want to be in communication with our feeling of solitude. We do not want to be in communication with our deep pain of not knowing who we are or why we are alive. That is why we talk so much. If we looked only for an instant, in everything we say throughout the day and see how many of these things arise from our peace, our joy or our love, surely there would be people who would not find a single word.

In music, for the melody to sound harmonic, silence is very important: it is what allows the music to have time and rhythm, and to be pleasant. However it seems that we do not apply it to the human conversations: the silence “annoys”.

When we tried to talk so much, did we escape the silence?

Silence, in a way, attracts us, because it is our origin. What happens is that we have wrapped our silence with a layer of noise, full of pain. And it is that layer from which we fled. When we communicate, we are actually looking for the properties of silence: unity, understanding, peace, joy. Therefore, when I communicate with someone, I am waiting for that, but we do not get it because in fleeing our pain that surrounds the noise, we end up fleeing the silence that exists behind that pain.

Curious, that another “technological weapon” that the human being invented to escape the silence and that pain, is the “Entertainment”

What do we need to be in-between?

From that inner pain. We need to have our consciousness trapped in our sensations, because if we do not, our consciousness, naturally, tends toward silence, tends towards that deep, inner part. And on that journey inwards, we are going to have to cross yes or yes, that layer of pure solitude, of pure disconnection, of pure pain. That is why we seek to look outward, because the inner gaze leads us to find the silence that lies just behind the most intense pain we have ever imagined, the pain of having forgotten that silence.

It seems that all this has to do with what they call “The Road to Happiness”. For some, happiness does not exist, since, like perfection, it is an ideal to be pursued, something to aspire to; Others say that there is no path to happiness, but that happiness is the way. Others have considered setting up studies that they call “scientists” about it. Others simply live it and experience it, without further questioning.

Is it true that at every moment we have the option to choose whether to seek happiness or simply to feel and experience it?

Yes, in fact, the one who chooses to stop looking for it and feeling it, is aware of that choice. But the one who chooses to keep looking for it, is not aware that he is choosing that, is only aware of his need to find it, and thinks that he is looking for it because of that need. That is why you will never feel it, because need does not lead to happiness.

Can you give me some advice so I can show it to some reader or client?

No, because the life of any person is already pure happiness. Life is happiness, what happens is that we analyze life, instead of living it. We value whether it is good, bad, whether it makes me happy or not, instead of realizing that we are alive, and that life is pure happiness in itself, even if it seems to have pain in it.

Being happy: Does it have to do more with a personal decision to take a position before the life, or with a circumstantial question of valuing the position in which the life places us?

It is the same, if that personal decision or valuation end in accepting life as it is and we openly learn to learn from it. Life always tends toward happiness even though we in our human analysis think otherwise. Remember that life is happiness.

This seems to have a lot to do with Personal Attitude, but happiness:

Is it not a question of skills? I mean if being happy does not have to do more with developing that ability to suspend judgments (positive and negative) and knowing “flow with life,” regardless of the experience we have …

Yes, as long as that flow with life also includes judging. Happiness is full and does not reject or question anything. I mean that if I am going to use my abilities to reject something in myself to become happy, then I will not be happy. At best, instead of being happy, I will believe to be, for believing that I no longer judge. And that’s a trial too.

Is Judgment inevitable?

Yes, it is inevitable. To avoid judging implies that to judge is bad because it prevents me from being happy and this belief is a judgment. This attempt leads many people to practice and train very hard to achieve the impossible task of not judging. Believing that I do not judge is a trial too. What is avoidable is to believe the judgments, that is avoidable. Happiness accepts all judgments, but no one is believed that has no origin in happiness.

We have talked about Communication, Happiness, Skills and Attitudes. We lack the emotions …

What do they call “Emotional Intelligence” for Sergi Torres?

In the first instance, emotional intelligence is the ability to discover that I am the cause of my emotions and that all of them are worthy of being felt and lived. And discover that behind all of them, there is only one origin: perfect peace.

In the second instance, emotional intelligence is our ability to see beyond the “quality” of emotion (sadness, joy, anger, fear) and discover that essence that unites them all. Then one realizes that all of them are energy and that energy is light, and that light, in turn, is consciousness and consciousness, is finally peace. That is for me emotional intelligence in the third instance, peace. He who is intelligent emotionally lives in peace no matter what emotion he is feeling.

What is fortune (luck) for Sergi Torres? Does it have to do with what people call chance?

When we look at life, out of human understanding, out of good or bad things, positive or negative, we realize that behind life there is an impulse that gives rise to life in which there is no room for fortune , Nor for chance, nor for chance, nor even for synchrony, which is now so fashionable. Everything emerges from consciousness constantly. Being aware of it does not make you more fortunate, but more aware.

-Thank you Sergi.

-An honor, Roberto.
